ExP: Fairy in the Flash

ExP: Fairy in the Flash (also known as eXP: Fairy in the Flash) is a bullet hell top-down shooter/shmup hybrid made in ten days for the Bullet Hell Jam VI (Theme: Unstable). Use your mouse and keyboard to sync with a "Fairy" and dive into the underbelly of a near-future digital world. 

Move with WASD, Shoot with Left Click and wield the Czar Blade with Right Click to clear bullets. With Spacebar, spend a Bomb to blast away foes in a pinch, and gamble away some of your connection stability with Shift to teleport. Pause with Enter and press Esc to force-quit the game.

(Press Alt+Enter to set the game to fullscreen, and press R while the game is paused to restart the game immediately).

Created with "unstable" as a core theme from the very root; ExP: Fairy in the Flash simulates the feeling of getting lost in a digital rabbit hole as a fast-paced score attack game with a looping stage and boss fight. As you descend deeper and deeper, pop-ups will keep appearing at an unpredictable rate, each one presenting a new challenge and virtual world. The rapid-fire barrage of locales and objectives creates a really "unstable" feel for the gameplay, not to mention the instability your OS will endure from all the malware, affecting your visibility.... 

The pop-ups aren't all that bad-- If you clear one, you can get some health back, making it a perfect getaway... If you clear it, that is! Jump into portals to avoid enemy fire when convenient and avoid them when it's dangerous! Wield the Czar Blade to clear bullets, and clear "cleansed" bullets from dead enemies for a higher score. Make split second decisions! Become one with your Fairy and bring out your Electric Sensory Perception (ExP) to achieve the highest score, the highest rank!

Flooded with corruption and surrounded by virtual ruins; only the Goddess knows what lies beyond these depths... You may find treasure, but you might just stumble upon an even greater darkness...
